More Information

Applicants can also apply for a scholarship to attend a recognized vocational institute, but scholarships are not granted to online institutions. Monies are sent by ACF directly to the school for approved expenses (books, tuition, and fees).

The Scholarships can be applied to any term — Summer, Fall or Spring.

Present Scholarship recipients must reapply each year, including a copy of their current amateur radio license and a transcript of all college courses taken.

Scholarship amounts vary each year depending on the number of applicants and the investment earnings. The Copeland Scholarships have totaled over $350,000 during the life of the program. A Scholarship board of AARC administers the selection process after ACF certifies all applicants have submitted all required information. Again, only holders of currently valid Amateur Radio, FCC-issued, licenses can apply for the Copeland Scholarships.
